Black Line – December

Newmarket Sprint Meet Dec 2014

This was our final competitive meet of this year and yet again was another successful day for the club. This is a hard slog for those who enter every event of which we have a small handful – well done you brave individuals. All who competed did really well. We came away with 17 gold medals, 20 silver medals and 26 Bronze. Special well done to Henry and Emma who got top boy and top girl and as a club we were placed 3rd best visiting club.

Winter Championships

Well done to Livi Pearce and Jess Mansfield who competed in the Winter Championships. A lot of hard work and effort goes into just achieving the tough qualifying times for this open event. Both girls performed really well on the day.

Christmas Cracker

A fabulous evening of fun was had by all at the annual Christmas Cracker. Thank you to everyone who helped organise, took part or supported. I am awaiting the final total but believe we raised around £300 for the club so a big THANK YOU.

Swim hats

Unless your swimmer has a full buzz cut they must wear a swim hat for training. Regardless of haircut a piranhas swim hat must be worn for competitive galas/meets for warm up as well as racing.

Moving on

Good luck to Will and Henry as they move full time to Peterborough – swim tough boys!

Xmas training

The last training session of 2014 is this Saturday 20th December. There is no training over the Christmas period. Normal training will resume on Tuesday 6th January 2015.

This is the last black line of 2014 – Sue and I are both away over the festive period so will not be responding to emails until we return to training.
